Chicago Fire FC Associate Partner PAC Leaders, continue to give back to their local community by being one of several companies involved the Career Launch Chicago program, part of the Chicago Roadmap.

In partnership with PAC Leaders, Career Launch Chicago is offering a 1 Year- 1040 Hours Office and Field Engineer Youth Apprenticeship. PAC Leaders hired 9 Students that represent 7 different Chicago Public Schools. All students participated in CPS CTE programs like Chicago Builds. CLC and Chicago Builds work closely in identifying students for this opportunity.

Career Launch Chicago and PAC Leaders created a Work Process Schedule that outlines the competencies apprentices will be learning during their 1-year Office and Field Engineer Youth Apprenticeship Program. Apprentices will learn to inspect, install equipment, direct crews or workers on site, and report on project status. They will also learn to manage the flow of documents between internal and external partners, prepare project reports for the office, and help to coordinate office documents in engineering and construction projects.

PAC Leaders is part of the Ujima Hive Project as the General Contractor. This project is a community-based venture conceived by PAC Leader’s client: Grow Greater Englewood and Teamwork Englewood. The Building Project will serve as a community space featuring areas such as the Hive Market, a recording studio, nail studio, a fitness space, a computer lab, and various other spaces. It will also serve as the office for our clients Grow Greater Englewood and Teamwork Englewood as well.

PAC Leaders are signatory to multiple unions, they will be self-performing Carpentry, Concrete, and specific finishes. Through this project, Youth Apprentices will experience multiple facets of the overall construction process. i.e. preconstruction/estimating/value engineering; scheduling; subcontractor bids; mobilization; execution of each scope of work with coordination and post construction services.
