Since 2016, URT has invested $5MM+ into researching and implementing a state-of-the-art plastics recovery system. The system and its multi tank setup is designed to separate different plastic polymers based on their density, allowing for recovery of both metals and plastics from shredded e-waste. This technology increases the recovery rate of plastic recovered from obsolete electronics and appliances, reduces the need for landfill, while minimizes environmental impact. It produces four different outputs: metals, heavy plastics, Polyethylene (PE) / Polypropylene (PP), and Polystyrene (PS) / Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
